ARMATURY Group a.s. has won two important orders for delivery of giant ball valves that are usually being used in gas distribution networks and compressor stations of gas companies. Two large-sized ball valves are to be installed in compressor stations and gas lines in the Czech Republic, another dozen of products will be exported by the company to the markets of the Commonwealth of Independent States. “The total value of the orders for giant ball valves amounts to some CZK 110 million,” said Petr Groh, the Executive Director of ARMATURY Group.
Each of the giant ball valves has a weight of 28 tonnes approximately. They will be operated in the gas transfer station at Rozvadov and the junction point at Strážovice near Písek, for instance. The first pieces have been already delivered by the company to the Czech buyer NET4GAS. According to Petr Groh, the Executive Director of ARMATURY Group, the company will deliver ball valves in nominal sizes DN 1400 and many ball valves in smaller sizes to the Commonwealth of Independent States, the former states of the Soviet Union, as well. They will be used for natural gas transportation there.
