Successful audit helped get API certificate again

American Petroleum Institute (API) is the largest U.S. trade association for the oil and natural gas industry. API represents almost 600 companies involved in production, improvement and distribution in the oil and natural gas industry. The goal of the company in to promote safety across the industry globally and to influence public policy to support the strength of the U.S. oil and natural gas industry.

Company ARMATURY Group, which supplies ball valves for oil, petrochemical, and gas industries, must meet the requirements of API norms and standards. For this reason, a recertification audit was carried out in February 2021 to verify the conformity of the established process with the API Q1 specification (Specification for Quality Management System Requirements for Manufacturing Organizations for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry) and the relevant product specification, in our case the API 6D Specification (Specification for Pipeline and Piping Valves).

Based on this audit, ARMATURY Group fulfill all requirements and get a new certificate with the effect until 9. July 2024. With this certificate, ARMATURY Group proves that it has an efficiency implemented quality management system and meets all requirements of the API Q1 specification designed for the oil and gas industry. Furthermore, this certificate entitles ARMATURY Group to use “API” sign on its ball valves, which confirms the high standard of internal processes ant provides customers with products of the highest quality!

The oil and gas industry depends every day on its equipment, which is one of the most technologically advanced, and allows the industry to work in an environmentally safe way. The Monogram API verifies that manufacturers are working according to the industry standards. ARMATURY Group is one of the successfully certified manufacturers and market leaders.

Climate change mitigation is currently an important topic for the whole world. The European Commission created in July 2020 Hydrogen Strategy for a climate neutral Europe, which goal is to speed up the development of pure hydrogen and ensure that it becomes the basis for a climate neutral energy system by 2050. Gas infrastructure will be an important part of this transition to green gases.
