OHSAS - Occupational Health and Safety Management System
The occupational health and safety management system has been implemented and certified by ARMATURY Group a.s. in conformity with BS OHSAS 18001:2007. Certification audits and evaluations of the occupational health and safety management system are performed by TÜV NORD Czech, s.r.o. Prague. The functional occupational health and safety management system has been established and is maintained in all establishments of the company in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. The occupational health and safety management system is described in the Integrated EMS and OHSAS Manual. The Integrated EMS and OHSAS Manual is structured according to the clauses of the above standard and linked up with the EMS 14001 system in some clauses.
The OHSAS is continuously verified by internal audits and by regular inspection audits performed by TÜV NORD Czech, s.r.o. Prague.
Occupational Health and Safety Policy
The basic document is the integrated EMS and OHSAS Policy in which the company commits itself to observe legal and other binding regulations, to reduce the occurrence of risks of a possible damage to the health, and to collaborate with interested parties (state administration authorities, general public, employees, shareholders, customers) in inspections of health protection and safety. The purpose of our activity consists in educating our employees continuously in all fields of occupational health protection and safety.
Occupational Health and Safety Objectives and Programmes
Improvement of the OHSAS system by reduction of risks, improvement of the work environment, and reduction of the accident rate are planned by means of objectives and targets and implemented by solution programmes. These objectives and targets are the results of elaboration of the OHSAS Policy in the company. The programmes are processed and controlled by means of the project control. Each programme is determined by a specific task, specification of required values, and focus on reduction of aspects and impacts in the following fields:
- improvement of the work environment
- reduction of the accident rate and occupational diseases
- accident and near-miss incident prevention
- fire protection
